I recently flew to the Florida panhandle for a photoshoot. While it was politically terrifying, it also got me jazzed to dress for spring break. I found this cute silk set at Crossroads by EL LA. I can’t find much online about the brand but a few vintage pieces did pop up. It seems like they only made silk sets which I am not mad at!
Also pictured is the sickest vintage Anna Sui shirt I found for my pal Goldie. The Lilac seems to not exist online but this rainbow one is cool.
Speaking of Anna Sui, for actual spring break we went to Arizona where we got the see the World of Anna Sui at the Phoenix Art Museum (shout out the empty infinity room there).
I hadn’t thought about her in a hot minute but seeing the show made me remember how core her designs were to me at a young age watching her runway shows on MTV’s House of Style.
I also spotted a similar outfit to what I wore to our rehearsal dinner. It was a capsule re-release of some 90’s styles at Opening Ceremony (RIP). My friend who worked there called me and told me to RUN over and I immediately bought the set. I only have 1 dark photo of me in it with my besties (shout out to Sarah’s booty).
I will never forgot how coveted her perfume was to 16-year-old-me. It makes me happy that bergamot is trending again.
